Milky Bay Resort is located at the serene Ban Thai beach. Owned and managed by a nice western couple, who will ensure your stay is as enjoyable as you have hoped for.

Well maintained gardens, lush vegetation, grass patches and small ponds with lotus flowers can be found all around, giving the place a relaxing natural atmosphere, coherent with the Thai culture and environment. There are small shaded areas throughout the gardens, with thatched roofs and Thai style pillows, which are great for a couple or a small group to sit together, have a snack, read a book, chill-out and enjoy the breeze. All the pathways are covered with soft wood-shavings, which give the resort a special rural feeling, and make it comfortable to walk around the the resort just barefoot.

All bungalows at Milky Bay are equipped with air-con and hot water as standard. The decor inside the rooms has soft cotton sheets and a range of furniture. Each room has a spacious balcony with sea or garden views. The lush vegetation around the bungalows ensures privacy and serenity, and gives the guests a feeling that they are in their own little tropical kingdom.

One of the unique facilities at the Milky Bay resort is the sauna, which was built in mid-2005. It is the perfect place for you to release any stress or pressure and offers relaxation and rejuvenation with no extra cost. A variety of massage types (Thai, Swedish, foot, head, among other) and beauty treatments are available at the spacious massage sala, and are a great way to further relax and recharge your body.

Another treat is the half-shaded swimming pool a stone's throw from the beach, which means you can choose between improving your tan or chilling out in the cool shade, while watching the ever-changing colors of the ocean. A favorite pass-time is being in the water and watching the sunset while having a fruit shake or a cold beer.

Other facilities and activities at Milky Bay resort include a beach bar with pool tables, ping pong tables, a fully-equipped fitness gym, beach volleyball and well-organized fishing trips.

Milky Bays' restaurant specialty is Italian food and fresh seafood, prepared in thai-style or western style. It also serves a range of Western and Thai cuisine.

Milky Bays location at Ban Tai beach makes it is easy to travel to all parts of the island. Haad Rin, the location of the monthly full moon party, is a mere 15 minutes drive away, as is the main town of Thong Sala, which is the main residence of most of the island's local Thai people.
